
Gaston Kabore, is a distinguished Burkinabé writer and film director, Secretary General of the Pan African Filmmakers Federation (FEPACI) for many years, and founder of the Imagine Film Institute in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, which includes a small film archive. Iconic in the Burkina Faso film industry for his contribution to its development (including FESPACO since 1978) and for his award-winning films, among them: Wend Kuuni(French Cesar for Best francophone film in 1985), Zan Boko (Silver Tanit, Carthage Film Festival 1988), and Buud Yam (Etalon de Yennenga, FESPACO 1997). www.institutimagine.com
